Chocolate Chip Brownies
2 tubes (18 oz. each) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie
dough*
3/4 C. flaked coconut, divided
1 package brownie mix (8" square pan size)
1/2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 C. chopped pecans
Press cookie dough into a greased 13 x 9 x 2" baking pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 C. coconut, and press firmly into dough. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions; spread batter over coconut. Sprinkle with remaining coconut, the chips & the pecans. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes, or until a pick inserted near the canter comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into bars. Yield: 2 dozen bars.
*Note: If desired, 4-1/2 C. of your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough can be substituted.
