Chocolate Malt Cookies
I made these & put them in the "goodie boxes" for Christmas 1999. They were
WAY good!
1 C. butter flavor shortening...................2 C. flour
1-1/4 C. packed brown sugar...............1 t. baking soda
1/2 C. chocolate malted milk powder....1/2 t. salt
2 T. chocolate malt syrup......................1-1/2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 T vanilla..............................................6 oz. milk chocolate chips
1 egg
In mixing bowl, combine first five ingredients; beat for 2 minutes. Add egg & beat. Combine flour, baking soda & salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in Chocolate.
Drop by tablespoons 2" apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes, or until starting to brown. Cool at least 2 minutes on sheets before removing to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: about 2-1/2 dozen.
