Chocolate Malt Frosting
Warning: May be habit forming!


2 C. whipping cream

1/3 C. malt powder

2 pkgs. (11.5 oz each) milk chocolate pieces

In a saucepan over medium heat, bring whipping cream just to boiling. Stir in the malt powder; add the chocolate pieces but DO NOT stir. Cover; set aside 5 minutes. Stir till smooth. Transfer to a large mixing bowl (mixture will be thin). Cover & refrigerate 3 hours, or until frosting is thoroughly chilled.

Set bowl of chilled frosting in a larger bowl of ice water. Beat frosting with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 minutes, or until fluffy & of spreading consistency (frosting will turn light brown with beating). Try to avoid eating it all with a spoon before you get it spread onto your cake. I find it's best not to even taste it- it's all downhill from there! Tracy
