Chocolate Upside-Down Cake
1-1/4 C. water
1/4 C. butter or margarine
1 C. packed brown sugar
1 C. flaked coconut
2 C. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
1 C. chopped pecans
2 C. mini marshmallows
1 package german chocolate cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
In a small saucepan, heat the water & butter until butter
is melted. Stir in brown sugar; mix well. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2"
baking pan. Sprinkle with coconut, chips, pecans & marshmallows.
Prepare cake batter according to package directions; carefully pour over mixture
in pan. Bake at 325° for 55-60 minutes or until a pick comes out clean. Cool in
pan for 10 minutes before inverting cake onto a serving plate. Yield: 12-15
servings
