How to Roast Corn

No cookout is complete without sweet corn roasted right in their own husks. Begin by carefully pulling back the husks and removing the silk. Now pull the husk back over the corn as it originally was and tie the loose end with cotton string. Soak the ears in cold salty water for about two hours, turning them occasionally. Lay the sweet corn on a grill over coals and continue roasting them until their outer husks are charred black. Turn the ears frequently. The average roasting time will take about 40 minutes, depending upon the quality of coals you have laid. Even though the outside husks of roasting ears are charred black, the inside portions of the husks are still moist and green. Sweet corn prepared in this manner is so delectable you'll probably never want it served any other way.
