Chocolate Streusel Bars

unsifted flour |

1- 1/2 cups |
confectioners' sugar |

1/2 cup |
unsweetened cocoa |
|
1 cup |
cold margarine or butter |
|
8 oz. |
package cream cheese, softened |
|
14 oz. |
can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT EVAPORATED MILK) |

vanilla extract |

1/2 cup |
chopped walnuts, optional |

Preheat oven to 350º. |
|
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and cocoa; cut in margarine until crumbly (mixture will be dry). Reserving 2 cups crumb mixture, press remainder firmly on bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. |

Bake 15 minutes. |
|
Meanwhile, in large mixing bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. |
|
Gradually beat in condensed milk until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. |
|
Pour evenly over baked crust. |
|
Combine reserved crumb mixture with nuts if desired; sprinkle evenly over cheese mixture. |

Bake 25 minutes or until bubbly. |
|
Cool. |
|
Chill. Cut into bars. |
|
Store covered in refrigerator |
|
