Easter Eggs
(candy)
Cream Eggs:
3/4 c. mashed potatoes
2 boxes confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Dip For Cream Eggs:
3 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate
2 sq. bitter chocolate
Eggs: Mix together (potatoes should be cold); set one hour before dipping. Roll into eggs
before setting. Makes approximately 36 medium eggs.
Dip: Melt in double boiler and dip immediately. Let stand after dipping, to harden.
Peanut Butter Eggs:
1 lb. confectioners sugar
3/4 c. melted butter or oleo
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. cocoa
5 Tbsp. peanut butter (regular or crunchy)
Coconut Easter Eggs:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 lb. oleo or butter
3 boxes confectioners sugar
1 box shredded coconut
Dip For Coconut or Peanut Butter Easter Eggs:
5 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate
3 sq. bitter chocolate
Eggs: Mix well and roll into eggs; makes approximately 70 medium eggs. Set one hour before
dipping.
Dip: Melt in double boiler and dip immediately. Let stand after dipping to harden.
