Party Popcorn
Each recipe uses 1 bag (3.5 oz.) microwave popcorn or about 8 cups popped corn. Pop according to package directions, then....
Chili Cheese Popcorn:
Mix 2 t. chili powder, 1/2 t. garlic powder and 1/4 t. ground red pepper; set
aside. Pour 3 T. melted butter or margarine over popped corn; toss to coat.
Sprinkle seasoning mixture over popcorn; toss until coated. gently mix in 1/4 C.
grated parmesan.
Bayou Cajun Popcorn:
Mix 3/4 t. paprika, 1/4 t. ground thyme and 1.4 t. ground red pepper; set aside.
Pour 2 T. melted butter or margarine over popped corn; toss to coat. Sprinkle
seasoning mixture over popcorn; toss until coated.
Chili Nacho Cheese Popcorn:
Heat oven to 300°. Spread popped corn & 2 C. coarsely crumbled white
tortilla chips in a shallow foil-lined baking pan. Pour 2 T. melted butter or
margarine over popcorn mixture; toss to coat. Sprinkle 2 t. chili powder over
mixture & toss until coated. Top with 1 C. shredded cheddar cheese. Bake,
uncovered. 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
