Banana Split Cream Pie


1-1/4 C. graham cracker crumbs
1/2 C. butter or margarine, melted
1/3 C. finely chopped walnuts
2 T. sugar
3 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) instant vanilla pudding mix
2 C. milk
1 (16 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 C. + 2 T. hot fudge sauce from a jar
2 bananas, cut into 1/4" thick slices
Whole maraschino cherries with stems & chopped walnuts for garnish

Coat a 9" pie pan with cooking spray. In a bowl, combine crumbs, butter, chopped walnuts & sugar. Using measuring cup or flat-bottomed glass, press mixture onto bottom & up sides of pan. Refrigerate.

Whisk together dry pudding mixes & milk. Fold in half of whipped topping.

Spread 1/2 C. fudge sauce over bottom of crust. Top with half of banana slices. Evenly spread half of pudding mixture over slices. Microwave 1/2 C.  of remaining fudge sauce until softened (10-15 seconds); spread over pudding. Top with remaining banana slices & pudding mixture. Reserve 1 cup whipped topping to pipe as decoration (if desired); Spread pie top with remainder of topping. Drizzle remaining fudge sauce (softened again, if necessary) over top of pie & pipe rosettes of whipped topping. Garnish with whole maraschino cherries & nuts.
