Black Bottom Frozen Dessert


25 crushed Oreo cookies
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 (13 oz.) can Carnation milk
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip
1/4 c. melted oleo
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. oleo

Combine cookies and 1/4 cup melted oleo. Press into 9 x 13-inch pan and freeze. Soften ice cream and spread over frozen crust; freeze. Combine milk, sugar, 1/4 cup oleo and chocolate square. Cook over medium heat, stirring to a thick fudge sauce (about 20 minutes). Cool slightly and spread on frozen ice cream; freeze. When sauce is frozen, spread on Cool Whip, sprinkle with nuts if desired; freeze. A delicious dessert; must be kept in freezer.
