Fudgy Cheesecake-Marbled Brownies


1 C. butter or margarine
4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1-1/3 C. + 2 T. sugar, divided
4 eggs
2 t. vanilla
1 C. flour
1/4 t. salt
4 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
1 egg yolk
3/4 C. semisweet chocolate chips

Line an 8" square baking pan with enough foil to overhang sides by 2", coat foil with cooking spray.

In a saucepan, melt butter with chocolates over medium heat until smooth; remove from heat. Stir in 1-1/3 C. sugar, eggs & vanilla. Add flour & salt; stir until combined.

In another bowl, at high speed, beat cream cheese until smooth & light. Reduce speed to low; beat in yolk and remaining sugar until combined.

Stir chips into chocolate batter; pour into prepared pan. Drop cream cheese mixture by tablespoons over batter; pull knife thru to swirl. Bake 45-50 minutes. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Use foil to help lift brownies from pan before slicing.
