German Chocolate Muffins


German Chocolate Topping (recipe follows)

1 pkg. pudding-included german chocolate cake mix

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 12 (3-1/2") large muffin cups; set aside. Prepare german chocolate topping; set aside.

Prepare cake mix according to package directions, reducing water by 1/4 cup. Spoon into prepared muffin cups, filling half full. Sprinkle german chocolate topping evenly over tops of muffins.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes, or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool, in pan on wire rack, 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Finish cooling on wire rack, or serve warm.

German Chocolate Topping:

Combine 3 T. each- chopped pecans, flaked coconut, & packed brown sugar in small bowl till well blended.
