Homemade Hot Chocolate
4 C. milk (2%)
3 T. granulated sugar
3 t. cocoa powder
3 dashes pure vanilla extract
3 pinches cinnamon
mini marshmallows to taste
Combine all ingredients except marshmallows in a medium-sized heavy bottomed saucepan. Whisk or stir briskly to dissolve cocoa into milk. Warm over medium-low heat until steaming, stirring frequently. Pour into mugs, top with mini-marshmallows. Use peppermint sticks or cinnamon sticks for stirring, if desired. Serve with cookies. Serves 4
