Mom's Chicken & Rice


1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
3/4 soup can milk
1 c. regular rice, uncooked
1 pkg. chicken pieces
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup

Mix cream of mushroom or chicken soup with milk. Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch dish and cover with regular rice. Wash package of chicken pieces and place on top of rice.
Sprinkle dry onion soup on top. Seal good with foil. Bake at 275 degrees to 300 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
My mom, Phyllis Markham, is noted for casseroles, you know what kind of a budget a minister's wife works on, Ha, Ha!
