Oven Caramel Corn


15 C. popped popcorn.................1/4 C. light corn syrup

1 C. packed brown sugar..............1/2 t. salt

1/2 C. butter or margarine.............1/2 t. soda

Divide popped corn between 2 ungreased 13x9x2" baking pans. In a saucepan, heat sugar, butter, syrup & salt, stirring occasionally, until bubbly around edges. Continue cooking over medium heat 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in soda till foamy. Pour over popped corn, stirring till corn well-coated. Bake at 200° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool & store in an airtight container. Yield: about 15 C. corn.
