Please Note: The cake
pictures posted in these Photo Gallery pages were baked, iced & decorated by
me, Tracy Brown. You are free to make any of these cakes yourself, either an
exact copy or with any changes you see fit to make. You can also print out a
copy of the picture for your own reference. HOWEVER, you are not free to use the
photos of my cakes on another website without identifying them as mine, with a

That's just not nice.

Well, I'm sure you recognize this cake's design! I can tell
you how I did it- I began with a rectangular sheet cake, and cut off one corner
slightly rounded. The piece I cut off I attached to the other side of the cake
to make it look like the top of the hat was leaning over. Then, I trimmed out a
bit of a curve from the side, and attached that at the bottom of the cake. The
cake icer tip made really quick work of the stripes, and then I bordered each
one with a wobbly line to hide the joins of the colors. For the brim, I cut a
piece of cardboard to length, covered it in contact paper, pre-bent it to fit
the curved bottom of the hat itself, and attached it with buttercream. Then I
simply iced it up, too.
My boss helped with the Seuss-ian message- I am SO glad he did! I was trying to
rhyme something with the name, and was having NO luck!
