That's just not nice.
My neighbor & friend, Karen, is a leap-year baby. Technically, she only has a birthday every 4 years! That's why the 'happy 12-1/2th' comes from. Anyways- The coral & border detailing is piped royal icing, the shells are molded white chocolate painted with luster dusts, and the cake is iced in buttercream.
