Praline Brownies
Brownies:
1 pkg. DUNCAN HINES milk chocolate chunk brownie mix
2 eggs............................1/3 C. water
1/3 C. CRISCO oil........3/4 C. chopped pecans
Topping:
3/4 C. brown sugar, packed......3/4 C. chopped pecans
1/4 C. butter or margarine, melted....2 T. milk
1/2 t. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9" square pan.
For brownies: Combine brownie mix, eggs, water, oil & 3/4 C. pecans in large bowl. Stir with spoon till well blended, about 50 strokes. Spread in pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven, spread with topping:
For topping: combine brown sugar, 3/4 C. pecans, melted butter, milk, & vanilla in small bowl. Stir with spoon till well blended. Spread over hot brownies & return to oven. Bake 15 more minutes or until topping is set. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Yield: about 16 brownies.
Tracy's note: I have added coconut to the topping, and that was yummy! (I also used a bit more butter & milk when I did that) I have also used different kinds of brownies for different tastes.
