After-School Cake

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. raisin bran
3/4 c. orange juice
1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In small mixing bowl combine raisin bran and orange juice. Let stand 2 minutes or until cereal is softened. In medium mixing bowl beat margarine and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Stir in cereal mixture. Add flour mixture; mix well. Spread batter evenly in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until done. Cool. Sprinkle with sifted confectioners sugar.
