Grilled Pizza

package frozen bread dough rolls, thawed

 

Extra-virgin olive oil

 

Pizza sauce

 

fresh basil leaves, cut into thin strips

Topping Suggestions:

 

 

Grilled vegetables, pepperoni, sausage, ham, pineapple, tomatoes, etc.

Cheese Suggestions:

 

 

Shredded mozzarella,

 

 

Provolone,

 

 

Monterey Jack,

 

 

And/or parmesan

1 Flour a work surface and roll each ball of dough on the floured surface. Pat out the dough to 1/4 inch-thick circles. Brush each dough circle with oil.

2 Place dough circles directly onto a well oiled barbecue and grill uncovered until the dough starts to bubble in spots on top and the bottom is lightly browned. Turn the crust over and top with your sauce and toppings of choice. Cover and grill the pizzas about three minutes longer or until the cheese melts and the bottom of the crust is crisp.
