Trick Or Treat Fudge
2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa or 1 or 2 sq. chocolate
2 Tbsp. corn syrup or 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter
chopped nuts (optional)
Mix sugar, milk, cocoa and corn syrup. Heat to soft ball stage (238 degrees).
Add a handful of treats from Halloween or a handful of hard candy from
Christmas, the ones with the Christmas trees. When dissolved, add the butter. Do
not stir in. When lukewarm, add the vanilla and beat until the shiny appearance
disappears. Add nuts. Butter pan and let fudge harden before cutting.
