Christmas Ice Cream

1/2 lb. peppermint hard candies
4 c. milk (whole)
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1 pt. half and half
6 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Unwrap peppermint candies. Mix and beat other ingredients together well. Add peppermint candies (they will melt and blend in during freezing process). Freeze in electric or hand ice cream freezer and serve for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day treat.
