Chocolate Cake
with Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Frosting 


Cake:

2 C. flour
1-3/4 C. baking cocoa
1-1/2 t. baking powder
1-1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 C. water
1 C. milk
1/2 C. vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 t. vanilla
1-2/3 C. (11 oz. ) Nestle peanut butter & milk chocolate morsels, divided

Frosting:

1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1 t. vanilla
1/8 t. salt
3 C. powdered sugar

Grease & flour two 9" cake pans.

Combine cake dry ingredients in a large mixer bowl. Add water, milk, oil, eggs & vanilla; blend until moistened. Beat for 2 minutes (batter will be thin). Pour into prepared pans; sprinkle 1/3 C. morsels over each cake.

Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a pick comes out clean. Cool in pans on wore racks for 10 minutes, remove to racks to cool completely. Frost with Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Frosting.

To make frosting;

Microwave remaining morsels in a small bowl on 70% power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Beat cream cheese, melted morsels, vanilla & salt in a small mixer bowl until light & fluffy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar.
